Some "behind the scenes" photos

Since the wedding season is winding down ( I do still have one more to shoot at the end of December) I thought I'd post up some recent photos from my "other life".

I'm currently working on a television series about the history of North Carolina. That's all I can say for the moment, however I can say that I've shot some really nice HD video for this program. Here are some "behind the scenes" shots of history coming alive.

Enjoy!

One cold morning on Ocracoke Island. Camera jib in action.

The boat is actually a prop made by Roland Valentine of Valentine designs here in Raleigh. Roland is a great set builder/prop maker and a heck of a fisherman!

Even though it's a prop, it's still heavy.

I shot this photo of the Elizabeth II early one morning a few weeks ago. I've done a bit of photoshop work to it to make it appear more "magical'.

Me filming the EII under sail

Hoisting a smaller HD camera up high

Earlier in the year. Me on top of Grandfather mountain

Doing a "dolly shot" requires some work.
